German Wort & Bild Publishing Group invests in the startup FitTech Company

(Baierbrunn, May 20th, 2021) The Wort & Bild publishing group is continuing its growth strategy and investing in the German start-up FitTech Company, which specializes in bringing together the technology-driven fitness and health industries. The young company became known through their FitTech Summit — a business conference that connects corporations, investors, and start-ups in the fitness and technology sector.

The Wort & Bild publishing group is making this investment through Isartal Ventures, a sister company of Wort & Bild Verlag. Isartal Ventures supports startups with an e-health focus through its know-how, network, and capital. “We invest in young, interesting companies with capital and media, offer them our know-how and network, and want to learn from others in particular. With this strategy, we are opening up new, supplementary business areas for Wort & Bild Verlag and securing access to promising people and technologies” says Arntzen.

FitTech Company’s best-known product to date is the FitTech Summit, Europe’s leading conference platform on fitness technology, the future of well-being, and a healthy lifestyle. Since 2018, more than 250 world-renowned fitness, health, and tech visionaries have spoken at the event, attracting more than 3000 visitors and viewers from over 45 countries. Natalia Karbasova (CEO) founded the start-up together with Sergej Hermann (COO), Max Gaub (Chief Content Officer), and Andreas Schröder (Advisor to the Management Board, Business Angel). As of June 1st, Stefan Tilk will join the team as Chief Advisor New Business. Previously, he was CEO of the Fitness First chain for many years and he is now an active partner in the US brand Anytime Fitness.
